Diatomaceous Earth
It’s exactly what it promises. Please, for the love of god, do not buy the product from a company which shall currently remain unnamed called “Silica” by their brand which says that their silica is “derived from diatomite” and “contains 45% Silicon Dioxide which is the highest concentration of silicon dioxide available to the home gardener,” which not only is not even true, but the product in question that they charger nearly $15 for 2 oz? It’s literally diatomaceous earth. That’s what silica derived from diatomite is, and diatomaceous earth contains 45% silicon dioxide. Please compare their price of $15 for 2 oz to my price of $5 for 16 oz. I would love to call them out directly, but I don’t know if they like to get litigious. I mean, literally everything I said was true so it’s not like they’d have a case for libel or defamation, but I digress.
Oh, and if you’ve figured out which company or brand I’m alluding to, ALL of their products are like that. I can’t recall a single one that isn’t either wildly overpriced, flat out garbage, or if you’re lucky, BOTH!
